5 A-side Football Tournament
Thursday February 1st saw our 5 a side football team represent Newker in the Chester-le-Street area tournament at Park View Sports Hall.
Our team played three games winning 2 and drawing 1 making them overall winners.
They will now represent Chester-Le-Street in the Durham County Semi Final held at Park View on Thursday March 7th.
Year 5/6 Girls Football
The girls played their first league game Tuesday 26th September winning all 3 of their games. Well done girls!
Year 4 Trophy Winners!
The Year 4 football team took part in the annual Year 4 Trophy, a competition for schools in Chester-le-Street. The team first had to qualify for the final, and did so, topping their qualifying group. In the final, Newker won all three of their games to become the cup winners! The Year 4 Trophy has been held annually since 2000 and this marks the first occasion Newker has taken home the trophy. The whole school is very proud.
